The Sapim Polyax Secure Lock Double Square are aluminium nipples of the highest quality with the latest posnology. Sapim uses the highest quality of aluminium for these (7075 T6). This type of aluminium combines very light weight, strength and corrosion resistance and this is available in 8 different colours!

The Sapim Polyax Secure Lock Double Square Nipples have, as the name suggests, a double head allowing the wheels to be centred both inside and outside.

The nipples are also available in a brass version. The advantage is that brass is much more resistant to corrosion than aluminium. We therefore prefer to fit brass nipples in our MTB and Beach wheels. A disadvantage is that brass nipples are heavier than aluminium nipples, which makes a difference of about 35 grams on a wheel set, and the material is slightly softer, requiring a slightly lower spoke tension.
