The rim is designed so that each rim height has a different outer width. This is due to aerodynamics and stiffness, which must be different at each rim height.

For example, our Nighthawk38 and Raptor55 are designed for pure stiffness + light weight. Of these, we have some separate tests showing that our wheels are one of the stiffest on the market!

We then applied the aerodynamics to our Shadow65 & Fighter90, taking posnics from a wheel brand currently ranked #1 in wind tunnel testing. Soon, Stealth Wheels will crawl into the wind tunnel to present these figures.

The width of the rim has also improved comfort. The tyre is no longer pinched, giving you more grip, less rolling resistance and shocks are better absorbed.

With a wide rim, you therefore have less tyre deformation. This gives you more grip when cornering and your tyre is less stressed and you get less rolling resistance.

In addition, we use the new Hookless posnology on our Nighthawk38, Raptor55, Gravel Lightning 36-C, Gravel 42-C and all MTB rims.
This ensures an even better tyre fit and a weight reduction of +/-45gr per rim.

KEEP INNOVATING AND LOOKING FOR INNOVATION.

This results to a product that has continued to improve year after year and where previous problems are off the table. For example, the wheels have become more shock resistant and give more comfort on the cobbles, also the problem of overheating of the brake rim has been addressed. This by using wider rims and a specially developed brake rim with nano posnology that can withstand temperatures of over 230°C on its own test bench.

The rims are also all Tubeless ready some of which are already Hookless for an even better fit with the latest tyres.

A high-quality wheel costs a rider a lot less energy. Because the power transmission is converted on the wheel with minimum loss!

A light rim is not the only thing that is important. Other factors such as stiffness, aerodynamics, manoeuvrability and comfort come into play.
Again, depending on discipline, some are more important than others.
